Great Video. Special thanks to my friend Amy!

Com Fest!

As I stated in my last post, this weekend was Com Fest. It was excellent, I ran into a lot of old friends, made some new friends, I got a cool mug, and I people watched (I hope that's not creepy). I noticed two different major groups there.
  • Group 1 - Hippies : dreads, tie dye, peircings, eclectic people...
  • Group 2 - High Schoolers: wearing grateful dead or sublime t-shirts, trying to look cool by smoking cigarettes.

There were other groups of people there, those were just the two groups that I took the time to note. There were also a few good local bands there. I really enjoyed shows by "The Reciever" and also by "Trains Across the Sea". I would definitely reccomend "Trains Across the Sea" if you ever get a chance to listen to them. And this video makes me smile :)

Vuvuzelas

Vuvuzelas, (pronounced "vu-vu-zelas"), they're crazy. They make sounds like mosquitoes, and they cause hearing damage. Vuvuzelas are actually really funny to me, the name is funny and the fact that they are made out of plastic is funny. (There might be more reasons that it's funny.. but I can't think of them right now.) I have learned a lot about these things in the past few weeks:
  1. A vuvuzela can create a sound that is around 120 dB. (which can cause hearing loss)
  2. Vuvuzelas can spread cold and flu germs on a greater scale than coughing or shouting.
  3. Hyundai made the worlds largest vuvuzela, at 115 ft. long. It is powered by air horns, but it hasn't been used yet...or else people be gettin' angry.

Also, Com Fest is this weekend in Columbus, Ohio. I just returned home from there a few minutes ago, and let me tell you. It was wild. I spent most of my time joining in on drum circles and now my fingers are like bruised sausages; I still enjoyed every second of it. There are some cool bands playing tomorrow that I would like to see, and still much more exploring to be done at this festival of the community.

I will report back soon.

Ouch Charlie! That really hurts....

So the other day, I was longboarding.

The Perfect Post.

I've realized recently that I'm terrible at having a blog. I type something up, erase it, try and think of something really really cool, and then end up not posting anything.

So here we go, enjoy my perfectly imperfect blog post.

It has only been about one week of summer, and it has felt like a very long time. I have been learning a lot about being content. About Not complaining in situations that may seem boring or hard, but rather searching for joy in all circumstances (sometimes it is very hard to find). I have fears about my future, about my job, my life in general in the next 10 years. I'd rather just let tomorrow worry about tomorrow, but I'm still learning and growing.

If you read this, here's a few things you can ask me about!

I would like to grow in a few ways this summer:
  1. Being responsible with my time.
  2. Being responsible with my money.
  3. Being responsible with my relationships.

And it begins..

This is a work in progress.
I would like this to be a blog where I can talk about:

  • Music
  • Food
  • Life, or things going on in my life
  • Artistic things

With that in mind, check out this band: "The Middle East" They are excellent!!

Most of all, this is a Luke, into my eyes :)

Enjoy!
